This Power Nut Tightener is for use with Flexco 140, Flexco 190 Mato MS140 & Mato MS190 screw installed conveyor belt fasteners.
Using a power nut tightener to install Mato MS 140 or Mato MS 190 conveyor belt fasteners is a straightforward process that requires a few simple steps. First, gather together all your required equipment, including the power nut tightener, the conveyor belt fasteners. Ensure that the power nut tightener is properly calibrated and in good working condition.
If using the fasteners to create a full belt splice then prepare the conveyor belt by aligning the ends of the belt and securely fastening them together using temporary fasteners or clamps. If you are required to make the holes into the belt yourself then we would recommend using the Power Punch to create the correct size holes.
Then, position the conveyor belt fasteners evenly along the belt's splice area, following the manufacturer's guidelines. Insert the fasteners into the belt's pre-punched holes, making sure they are aligned properly. Once the fasteners are in place, use the power nut tightener to drive the nuts onto the fasteners, securely fastening the belt together. Finally, remove any temporary fasteners or clamps, and inspect the fasteners to ensure they are securely and evenly tightened. If necessary, make any adjustments to achieve a proper splice.
