Profile & round Polyurethane drive bands or drive belts are commonly used within the industry as a way of transmitting power.
Polyurethane is preferred to rubber due to their strength, elasticity, greater resistance to temperatures and approved to be used within food environments. With a fantastic load capability and strength they are simple to maintain and clean, resistant to oil and fat, chemicals and abrasion resistant. With the correct equipment, engineers have the ability to buy coils and make them endless when they require, or can be supplied with endless belts to help get provide a quick and easy solution to a breakdown.
What are Round drive belts and how are they used?
Drive bands or belts are used in power transmission and predominantly line shaft roller conveyors to provide the power used to drive an item forward or backwards.
Because of their highly elastic properties, round belts require no special safety measures or complicated joining procedures and due to their size, can easily be stored away for use later.
Types of Round Drive Roller Belts / Bands
Polyurethane drive bands are available in a wide range of lengths, diameters and material specifications to suit any application. The colour or material of a polyurethane belt tends to be the most common requirement for our customers. Most polyurethane belts are clear but they also come in see-through blue, a rough green and an orange, for thicker, less stretching applications. We also offer red hollow which can be used with a small connecting tube for those who prefer to cut them down and use the connecter to make their desired length which prevents the need for any welding irons or expensive equipment.
